What is naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a holistic and non-invasive form of health care. It prioritises
investigating and understanding the root causes of illness or discomfort and
optimising health in line with your individual goals. We work together to support
healthier outcomes and prevent or manage chronic conditions. Common strategies
involve:
 Nutrition
 Movement
 Education
 Changes to environment (eg.- removing allergens etc.)
 Stress management
 Herbal and nutritional medicine where indicated
 Pathology and functional testing referrals and analysis

We are all different and have walked unique paths to get to where we are today. To
the same effect, there is no one size fits all approach to health. A naturopath works
with you as an individual to assess and provide a treatment plan specific to you.

Guiding principles include:

 The body has self-healing mechanisms which when provided with the
necessary tools and environment are able to carry out their functions.
 Health is considered holistic. This means there is much more to a person
than their physical symptoms. Emotional, mental, spiritual and environmental
health are connected to physical health and as such, the whole person will be
considered and treated.
 Education and providing supportive information is a core aspect of working
together with clients. Clients are encouraged to use the tools provided to take
more control over their health outcomes.

How is an appointment
structured?

All appointments are available either in person or online, with the exception of
the discovery call which is a phone call.

Initial Consultation ($160, duration of 60 minutes)
This is your first appointment. Detailed health information is gathered in this session
and you are invited to provide relevant test results. This is the session which focuses
on understanding your health story. Based on this information, you will receive a
treatment plan with dietary and lifestyle suggestions and if relevant, a prescription of
herbal medicine and/or nutritional supplements. You may be suggested further
testing.

Follow Up Consultation ($110, duration of 40 minutes)

This is your second appointment. We go through how your treatment plan from the
first session worked for you and alter it accordingly. Any new test results are
provided and discussed and a plan of action is agreed on. These appointments last
approximately 40 minutes and you will receive a treatment plan.

Review Consultation ($90, duration of 30 minutes)
This is generally for all further appointments required from here on. We discuss
treatment plans, your health journey and whether your goals are being met.
Treatment plans are adjusted accordingly and sent after every session. Any
maintenance testing is ordered in these appointments.

Pathology Analysis Consultation ($80, duration of 30 minutes)
An appointment specifically designed to provide an analysis report from your blood
test results in a naturopathic framework. Our reference ranges are calculated for
optimal health and differ to the pathology lab ranges. Suggested dietary and lifestyle
changes can be suggested from this appointment but for detailed health exploration
a naturopathic consultation needs to be booked.
*Blood results must be provided to me a week before the appointment to provide
adequate time for analysis.
*This is best if you have at least 3 test results, for example from the following : full
blood count, iron studies, thyroid function, liver function, electrolyte, B12, folate,
Vitamin D, hormone testing.
This is not an appropriate appointment if you have less than 3 results.

Discovery Call Consultation (15 minutes) is free of charge and created to answer
any questions you may have about naturopathy, whether it’s a good fit for you in your
health journey or which appointment is appropriate.

appointment

 Any recent blood results (within last 2 years)
 Any other testing results which are significant to you
Any documents that cannot be attached if the limit is reached can be sent to me via
